Tips for Running Your Mega Millions Office Pool

I told you it was harder to win, consequently the Mega Millions jackpot tomorrow is worth $550 million, that's the fourth-highest jackpot in history. 

By the way this is the check you get when you don't win the jackpot.  Just a regular size one.  Yes, I won 500 dollars on Friday, well my Dad and I won 500 dollars on Friday.

So how do you win the Jackpot?  Get five numbers right and the Mega Ball. It is much harder to do that now because the system changed in late October.  You used to have to pick five numbers from one to 56.  Now you have to pick five numbers from one to 75.

The good news,  they actually reduced the choices for the Mega Ball.  It used to be a number one through 46, now it's a number one through 15.

So the odds of winning have changed, used to be one in 176 million, now they're one in 259 million.

Still might as well take a chance right.  I decided to do the office pool.  Follow these rules to prevent Homicide and Law Suits.

Collect the money up front.  Make a copy of the tickets. Give them to all participants who are on that list you made when they paid their money.   No credit, if you don’t pay, then you don’t get to be part of the pool.

Yes, everybody in the pool can go off and buy tickets on their own even the ticket holder.  Only the tickets that were copied, go into the pool.  If one of those Outlaw tickets win, the pool does not get to benefit. Got that?  The pool DOES NOT get to benefit.

The odd are pretty high that NOBODY will win,  so the jackpot could keep going up.  It could be close to a BILLION DOLLARS right around Christmas.
