Texas already spends a lot of money on border related issues. It's only natural given the role border security and immigration issues played in the recent election for state officials here in Texas to be very interested in how new president Donald Trump will impact border issues, especially those involving the large sums of money the state currently pays.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) met with local officials in South Texas last week to discuss funding issues.

Whether they're local officials or state level, Texas public servants  are looking for changes from the new administration.
