North Carolina Power Ball Winner Claims Her Prize

Marie Holmes can move out of her mobile home now. She went to the North Carolina Powerball office and claimed her share of that $567 million lottery jackpot.

Marie is only 26 year old, she recently stopped working to stay at home with her 4 kids.  One of them has Cerebral Palsy. Now she plans to go back to school and move out of that crowded mobile home.  The annuity payment will give her $188 million, but she is choosing the $127 million lump sum.

Two other winning tickets were sold, one in Puerto Rico, the other in Texas.   The Puerto Rico  winner wishes to remain anonymous.  We still don't know who won in Texas.
