Hootie is what we call her, this poodle that seems awfully long to me.  Officer Hetzel from the Temple Animal Shelter says Hootie is mixed with something.

Hootie is about 6 years old, and kind of shy when you first meet her, but she warmed up to me right away, eventually Dave wormed his way into her heart too.  See what good friends they are now!

Hootie has had all her shots and she recently spent some time at the Doggie Beauty Parlor.   Hootie would love to find a nice quiet family to take her in.  You can stop by Temple Animal Shelter to see her at 620 Mama Dog Circle.  You can also take a look at the other pets that need homes on the City of Temple website.

We also talked to Officer Hetzel about keeping your dog safe during trick or treating.  He recommends keeping pets away from the costume wearing kids.  Those masks can be scary for a dog. He also warns that dogs should not eat chocolate, so keep them away from the candy.  You can listen to him talk about Hootie and Halloween here.

If you don't live in Temple stop by your local animal shelter and pick out a pet.
