KBTX's Whitney Miller reported that two Texas A&M Commerce football players had their spring break ruined by robbers in Miami on Saturday.

The two football players were robbed and shot in Miami, Florida on Saturday afternoon. Texas A&M Commerce Head Football coach David Bailiff and Athletic Director Tim McMurray went to Florida from North Texas to be with the students and their families.

Texas A&M Commerce identified the two students shot in the robbery were redshirt junior linebackers, Xavier Morris and Jay Bias.

Texas A&M Commerce is a Division II school in the NCAA ranks, and also is a member of the Lone Star Conference. Texas A&M Commerce's football team finished with a record of 10-3 this past football season.
