The Girl Scouts Announce New Cookie Flavor for 2021
Please welcome "Toast-Yay!" to the Girl Scout cookie lineup for 2021.
January usually marks the beginning of "cookie season" for the Girl Scouts, so we have a few months to wait. But when it gets here, they'll be bringing a brand new flavor with them: "Toast-Yay!" It's a french toast inspired cookie that, according to a Girl Scouts of the USA news release, is "dipped in delicious icing and full of flavor in every bite."
So, let's look at our cookie choices once they go on-sale in 2021. Assuming they stay the same as 2020 and with the new addition, here you go: Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Shortbread, Caramel Chocolate Chip(which is gluten free), Lemonades, Girl Scout S'mores, Thanks-a-lot and finally, the new flavor, Toast-Yay!
Back in March, once the pandemic started, the Girl Scouts suspended door to door sales and cookie booths and made sales available online. There's no word yet on door to door sales for the 2021 season, but they have confirmed online sales and the "virtual cookie booths" on social media. The Girl Scouts said in a news release:
"Many girls will offer socially distant or contactless sales and delivery options, if local guidelines allow, in-person sales may also be available in certain areas, keeping girls’ safety top priority. And though social distancing measures may keep families and friends apart, cookie customers will be able to share joy and stay connected this season through a giftbox option that ships directly to others via the Digital Cookie/Smart Cookie online platforms."
