Minions Lead the Pack of New Movies This Weekend
Friday in the summer time, means a kids movie or a special effects filled flick is on the loose. It's a kids movie this weekend, "Minions". The little yellow guys from "Despicable Me" have their own starring vehicle. Does it work?
I believe it does. The movie stars the voices of Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm and Michael Keaton. Reviews are mixed, but you know, kids don't care! the Minion in a thong made me laugh!
"Minions" is really up against "Jurrassic World" and "Inside Out", but there are a couple of more out in wide release.
This one looks promising, it does have some big names, Ryan Reynolds, and Ben Kingsley. They actually become one in "Self/less", rated PG-13.
The premise: An extremely wealthy man, dying from cancer, transfers his consciousness into the body of a healthy young man. But oh those memories that come with it.
And this next one looks like it is for teens, but it is rated R. "The Gallows" is a horror flick. That rating probably spells doom. The premise: Tragedy at a school play, 20 years later students try to honor the anniversary, Bad Mistake!
I think I will pick a new number one this week, and go with the little yellow men to take the top spot. (BTW, are there any girl Minions?)
