It's already been a very tough year for the "Class of 2020", and the hits just keep on coming. Welcome to the "real world", kids.

The Killeen ISD was hoping to give the Class of 2020 one last sendoff as it delayed its "in person" graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they have been forced to cancel their plans.

According to a post to the district's Facebook page, due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases across Texas, Killeen ISD has elected to cancel their in-person graduation plan to maintain the health and safety of graduates, their families, and staff.

Killeen ISD had originally planned to host a traditional ceremony in Belton at the Bell County Expo Center on July 20th and July 21st, but the district says capacity restrictions along with the current rise in coronavirus cases won't make it feasible to do so.

The district's virtual graduation ceremonies, held at the end of May, can still be viewed on the district's website, which you can click on here.
