Here’s Why the Killeen, Texas Veterans Day Parade Has Been Cancelled
For the last couple of days, I’ve been trying to make sure that Killeen, Texas is well aware of how the weather change is going to be extremely drastic starting Friday. I hate that the weather is going to be severe tomorrow, especially since it is Veterans Day.
WHY IS THE VETERANS PARADE CANCELLED?
Every year we look forward to seeing the Veterans Day parade and paying homage to all of the veterans in Killeen and around the world. Earlier today, the City of Killeen sent out a message stating that this year's parade will be canceled due to the threat of severe weather conditions.
As of right now, it doesn't look like the city is going to reschedule it, but I will make sure to keep all of Central Texas notified if we hear more about what's going on. After all, Killeen is a military town, and we're particularly proud of that.
HAPPY VETERANS DAY KILLEEN
Veterans Day celebrates the service of all US military veterans, and it’s a day set aside to thank and honor their service and the many things they've sacrificed to serve and protect our nation. There have been so many sacrifices made for this great nation by our brave veterans and from everyone here at Townsquare Media, I would like to say thank you happy Veterans Day. Stay warm out there, and be safe!
