Some of the highlights from this day in music history include...

The death of Bobby Darrin. It was on this day in 1973 that Bobby Darrin passed away. He was 37. You might remember him from his 1959 number one hit 'Dream Lover'.

Others, like myself, will remember him with his Grammy winning song 'Mack the Knife'

Other standards you might not know was from Bobby include "Beyond the Sea", and "Splish Splash".

In 1974 the Eagles got a new member. Joe Walsh officially replace Bernie Leadon.

And in 1986 on this day the Bangles walked like an Egyptian all over the number one position in the charts. It stayed there for a month. It gave us plenty of time to fall in love with the eyes of Susanna Hoffs.
