Container Homes Coming to Temple

The newest trend in living will be displayed soon near Downtown Temple.

For those of us who strive to live frugally, there seems to be a solution for us to own a home. They're called container homes, and they're the newest trend in "fancy" living.

Homes seem to be getting smaller as people realize that a big home means big expenses, which means more "work" time, less "family" time. The millennials have jumped on the trend, primarily because their education cost so much and jobs are less plentiful. Their mindset is frugal from the start.

Discover Temple recently announced on Facebook that a developer is going to bring the trend to Central Texas. They plan on building a few homes near East Ave E and 8th Street next to the future MLK Festival Grounds.
