Woman Holds Up Local Store with Toy Gun

Police say a woman held up a store in Temple Tuesday night with what appeared to be a gun, but was later revealed to be a toy.

According to Tianna Jenkins and our news partner KWTX, the woman robbed the Dollar General store at 4800 block of South 31st Street in Temple shortly before 10 PM, fled on foot, and was later found in a wooded area near the scene of the crime.

Police located the woman with the help of a K-9 unite, and confiscated a toy gun they believe was used in the robbery. They also recovered cash, and say the woman, who is in her 20's, was wearing a mask.
