Suspect Sought in Robbery of Mazzio’s Pizza in Temple

Temple Police are on the lookout for a man who robbed a Temple restaurant Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a reported robbery at Mazzio’s Pizza shortly after 8 a.m. Employees say a man entered the pizzeria at 1420 Southwest HK Dodgen Loop as they were preparing to open and displayed a handgun. The man demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a black male around 6 feet tall, last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The victims said the man wore a mask that covered the lower portion of his face and cotton work gloves.
