Well, doesn't this sound familiar.

Temple Fire And Rescue

This afternoon, Temple Fire and Rescue units responded to an alarm in the 900 block of South 33rd Street. Firefighters were met with heavy smoke and flames coming from a wood frame storage building in the back yard of someone's home. Fire investigators determined the fire was unintentional, and caused by a cigarette left unattended inside the building. (Not long ago a pile of wood next to our building ignited, maybe from a similar cause.)

The shed is considered a total loss. There were no injuries, except simeone's pride and pocketbook.

We all know the phrase "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb." We also know March as the months in which most people want to fly kites given the windy conditions.  Thanks to the same wind, stray ashes could come in contact with the right situation and cause a whole lot of havoc.

In other words, be careful when you let the flames fly.
