I don't know how you feel about spiders, but this video might make even the hardest souls a bit squeamish.

I have no problems with spiders. In fact, they're nature's pest controllers. When I first moved to Texas 13 years ago, my apartment had an ant problem. Turned out I was responsible for calling a pest control person to spray for bugs. So I then got the glorious honor of breathing poison for a few days. It's the trade off for not having ants, you know.

When I investigated my new place, which had been sitting empty for a few months, I noticed that there were a lot of spiders, but no other bugs. When I moved in I killed all the spiders, and soon I had cockroaches and ants all over. I again, called the poison people and that put an end to the issue for awhile, but, they soon came back once the poison wore out.

Since I don't believe in "entertaining" I let the spiders take over the dining room. Since then I haven't seen a single cockroach, and I laid out ant motels around the doors, and ants, also, have been a non-issue, and I haven't had to call and exterminator in over two years. It's true I have to keep an eye out for nests but so far it hasn't been a problem. I imagine that if I stop looking for nests, that this might be the outcome.
