Rivers and Lakes are Open in Texas, Let’s Plan a Trip
It's official: Governor Abbott has opened beaches, rivers and lakes in Texas so if you're planning a weekend camping trip or just want to get away for the day, you can't go wrong with these Texas hot spots.
Memorial Day Weekend usually signals the official start to Summer, and the Houston Chronicle's Priscilla Aguirre has highlighted some perfect spots for a getaway. Check out the article for some great destinations. Most people around here go to New Braunfels for tubing every year, but if you're looking to branch out and try some place new, there are some fun looking destinations in Aguirre's piece.
I plan on tubing on the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers in New Braunfels. Fortunately, Rockin’ R River Rides and Bull Frog Tubing are both open for business.
Check out the video and you tell me, doesn't this look like the perfect way to cool down this summer and get some downtime? Lazing on the river without a care in the world. Sounds pretty perfect right?
Of course, this year will be different as we must take steps to practice our social distancing, staying at least 6 feet away from others and keeping the groups small.
Like I said, the article also mentions other great places to visit as well. No matter what your plans are for the summer, have fun and float on.
