Local Teenager Hit By Vehicle in Busy Central Texas Street
KWTX's Christopher Shadrock reported that a young boy in the Central Texas area was in a terrible accident while attempting to cross a busy street on Thursday.
Authorities said the 14-year-old boy ran into the side of a moving pickup truck as he was attempting to cross a busy street in Bellmead, and had to be taken to the hospital for injuries he suffered.
The accident was reported to authorities around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. The accident took place in the 3900 block of Bellmead Drive.
La Vega Independent School District police said they responded after getting reports a student might have been the victim. The boy's identity and the extend of his injuries were not made public, but he was believed to be in table condition.
