Lane Closure Extended on Rancier Avenue in Killeen

A City of Killeen press release says that a lane closure in Killeen has been extended a little longer due to the excessive rainfall in the area lately.

The westbound outside lane located on East Rancier Avenue, near the intersection of 4th Street in Killeen will continue to be closed.

The outside lane will remain closed from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through Friday June 28th. The inside lane of the road will remain open for all through traffic in the area.

Concrete replacement in the lane is the reason for the closure. The excessive rainfall has delayed the concrete replacemtn project greatly. All traffic is detoured to the inside lane during work hours to stop delays.

City of Killeen offiicials are asking drivers to use caution and obey traffic laws to ensure safety in the construction zone. The City of Killeen also apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to drivers, and appreciates your patience in this matter.
