Massive Delays Expected For New Road Closure In Temple, Texas
Temple, Texas and much of the rest of us in Central Texas are deep within the fifth season of the Lone Star State, construction season. As the state continues to grow at an escalated rate, our streets and highways are perpetually demanding expansion and maintenance.

One of the busiest roads on Temple's west side that feels like it is in constant need of repair and improvement is Old Waco Road. For the next couple of days, the city engineering team expects Riverside Trail to be closed at Old Waco Road, so you will need to find an alternate route to cross over.
In order for the residents in the neighborhood just west of the intersection of Old Waco Road and Riverside Trail to access their homes, they will want to enter the community from the west off of South Pea Ridge Road, or enter from the intersection just north at Golden Heart Drive and Old Waco Road.

Old Waco Road is not the only place you can find Temple employees working to make improvements. It feels like just about everywhere has a few pot holes that need to be patched, or the expansion of sidewalk access especially in the downtown area.
The city asks you to please be cautious when driving through construction zones, and constantly checking for workers. Please drive alert, limit distractions, and reduce speeds when crew members are present.
