Good news for fans of NHL Hockey - it's 'game on!'

The NHL season was abruptly ended, along with every other sport, in mid-March thanks to COVID-19. NBA and NHL fans were left wondering if their seasons would end with a champion or if we would just forgo the season and leave it as unfinished business.

Well, now we have an answer, as MLB has announced its plan for a season, as did the NBA. Looks like the NHL has just agreed on a plan to resume hockey and eventually, hopefully, crown a Stanley Cup Champion.

ESPN is reporting that both the NHL and the NHL Players' Association have agreed on a plan to finish the season. Some details will need to be ironed out, but if all goes as hoped, the season will resume in late July or early August with a 24-team extended playoff and a Stanley Cup Champion in October.

The plan would be similar to that of the NBA with a host city for the games. In the case of the NHL, there will be two host cities: Edmonton and Toronto.

I hate the idea of an unfinished season. I'm glad they have worked out the details to try and get this season finished and crown a champion. Game On!
