Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has released a trailed for his upcoming concert movie Live at Pompeii, which will be screened in cinemas for one night only on Sept. 13. The film documents his return to the ancient Roman city 45 years after Pink Floyd shot a film in the same location.

You can watch the trailer above.

The new movie was recorded during two performances in the historic amphitheater during Gilmour’s 2016 world tour in support of his most recent solo album, Rattle That Lock. While Floyd played to an empty space for 1972’s Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, Gilmour's solo shows were the first time since the year 79 that an audience had watched an event there.

His performances included rare live outings of the Pink Floyd track “The Great Gig in the Sky,” along with “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb” and material from Rattle That Lock and its predecessor On an Island.

David Gilmour Live at Pompeii is an audio-visual spectacle, featuring lasers, pyrotechnics and a huge circular screen on which specially-created films complement selected songs," promises the movie's distributors. "Paramount is the stellar performances from an all-star band. This concert performance film includes highlights from both shows, filmed in 4K by director Gavin Elder and presented in Dolby Atmos where available.”

“It’s an extraordinary place to be because it’s preserved exactly as it was," Gilmour told Rolling Stone last year: "If you visit any other antiquity-type sites throughout the world, they’re very damaged with what’s gone on over the centuries since their were abandoned. This one was just sealed, so you’re looking at rock surfaces, and the carving of letters and names in the stones looks like it was done yesterday.”

Ticket details can be found at the movie's website.
