I am so Happy the Fourth of July is on Friday.   I can stay up for the fireworks!!!!!!

As usual Fort Hood will celebrate with big doings at Hood Stadium.  Free and open to all, the celebration will start at 5 pm.  You can buy the usual food and drink, from vendors and family readiness groups.  HEB usually hands out free food, I hope they will do that this year!

You can start off the day with the Color 5 K at Harvey Functional Fitness center.  Wear white and get plastered with color by the end of the race!  Get all the details at hoodmrw.com. It’s open to everybody too.

The fun at Hood stadium starts at 5.  Musical entertainment will include Pat Waters and the Chainlink Band,  Max Stalling and his band playing their original music from 6-8 pm.,

They will be followed by two 1st Cavalry Division Bands performing from 8-9:30 pm.   "Warrior's Call" will cover rock-n-roll hits and "Crossfire Brass Band" is a brass band covering popular music.
