Former Baylor Bears head coach Art Briles will be calling plays in Texas once again this fall, as the head coach for Mount Vernon high school.

The Rule, Texas native hasn't coached in the Lone Star State since he was fired from Baylor in 2016, in light of the school's sexual assault scandal.

The following year he was hired as an assistant coach by the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats, but before the season began they decided to rescind the hire due to the scandal.

In 2018 Briles was the head coach for the Estra Guelfi Firenze an American Football Team located in Florence, Italy. He was expected to return this fall.

In his one season in Italy, he came out with a losing record of 4-6. We'll see how he does back home under the Friday night lights.
