12-Year-Old Texas Boy Starting College at Cornell

Well, isn't this something!

Jeremy Shuler, a twelve-year-old boy from here in Texas has not only finished high school at his own pace, he has been accepted into college at Cornell University.

He was able to do this via independent study through the Texas Tech Independent School District. He kept on keepin' on. Good for him.

He is starting Cornell this month. How a twelve-year-old fits into campus life remains to be seen. Both of his parents will accompany him to Ithaca, NY but it will be the first time Jeremy Shuler will be educated inside a classroom.

Congrats to Jeremy and his parents. Texas proud!
