Why overpay for a corndog this summer. Make your own.

If you've got a waffle iron you've also got a corn dog maker it seems.
Entertain the troops with these simple ingredients.
 hot dogs
box corn muffin mix
large egg
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar
2 tbsp. chives
Warm up that waffle iron as you combine the corn muffin mix, egg and sour cream. Stir until combined evenly, then fold in cheddar and chives.
Cut the hot dogs in half along the cut line on the dog. You might need to chop them in half as well, depending on the size of your waffle iron.
Put half the batter on the waffle iron, place hot dogs on top, then add another layer on top of the dog. Close and cook about 4 minutes. Cut out each hot dog which will slice up the waffles into eights.
The video shows them sticking in sticks. I don't like sticking things on wood, but that's just me. I guess with Easter coming up, some people would like it, but not me.
