News 10 is reporting that a Waco man was arrested Thursday afternoon for stabbing a man outside of a local restaurant.

Brandon Burney, 26 was arrested and charged outside of the BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse at 5929 West Waco Dr. adjacent to the Richland Mall for stabbing a man riding in Bruney's car.

Police are reporting that the stabbing was the last straw in an argument that began at a local 7-Eleven convenience store. The argument continued in the suspect's car and culminated with the stabbing in the BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse parking lot.

The suspect fled the scene and was later arrested at a home at 143 Bud Dr. in Bellmead, near the Home Depot store.

The victim, Justin Wayne Biblewas taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center with multiple injuries, however, police indicated that the injuries are not life-threatening.

Burney was booked on a charge of aggravated assault-family violence
