Waco ISD is supplying local families with diapers.

According to KXXV, the district is helping those who are enrolled in the 'Parents as Teachers' program and the 'Inspiracion' program tomorrow during their drive-thru service.

Families will have the opportunity to receive FREE diapers by pulling into the drive-thru, which will be located in front of the North Waco Annex. Staff will assist diapers by inquiring about the size needed and placing them in the car.
This great deed is made possible by donations from the Junior League of Waco.

Join Waco ISD from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8th at the North Waco Annex.

Back here in Killeen, there's an important reminder for students joining band and orchestra to select their instrument before the end of May. You can do that at KISD's online Virtual Instrument Fair.

Just visit killeenisd.org/instrument_fair_2020 and select either Band Instrument Fair or Orchestra Instrument Fair. You'll be directed to a page that includes an FAQ you should definitely read through, an instrument tour, an interest form to fill out, and a link to schedule a conference with a band director or orchestra leader.

The instrument tours will introduce students to woodwinds like flutes, clarinets, and saxophones; high brass, like the French horn and trumpet; low brass like trombones, euphonium,  and tuba; double reed woodwinds like oboes and bassoons; and percussion instruments.

Make sure you don't sleep on this. If you're interested in getting into band or orchestra, you'll want to choose your favorite instrument early and get familiar with it. This is a great way to do that while practicing social distancing.
