Fans of Texas music can soon add two more collectibles to their shelves.

Stripes Convenience Stores announced this week that stores in Corpus Christi, Laredo, San Antonio, Houston, the Rio Grande Valley, and select stores in Midland and Odessa will carry Selena commemorative cups from March 1 to April 4 or while supplies last.

The cups are priced at $2.99. A portion of sales will go to the Selena Foundation, which donates to charitable organizations helping children in crisis.

The announcement came as Corpus Christi prepares to host Fiesta de la Flor - a 2-day music festival honoring the life and legacy of Selena.

Many Texans, especially within the Hispanic community, still revere the singer as one of Texas' great musical treasures. Two years after receiving the Tejano Music Award for Female Vocalist of the year in 1987, she released her self-titled debut album, catapulted to the top of a traditionally male dominated genre, and brought the Tejano sound to a broader audience.

Tragically, Selena was murdered by her manager, Yolanda Saldíva, in March of 1995. Since then, fans have continued to honor her memory. In 1997, Corpus Christi erected a statue in her honor, which continues to draw large crowds 20 years later.
