Corpus Christie native Eva Longoria will direct her first film and it's about the creator of Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

KENS5 reports that the 44-year-old actress was selected by Fox Searchlight over a handful of directors. She made the announcement Tuesday night via her twitter.

Lewis Colick (Charlie St. Cloud, October Sky) penned the script about Richard Montañez, the man who came up with the idea for the snack as he was working as a  janitor for Frito-Lay.

A classic rags to riches story. Richard clearly deserves a film, but maybe Eva should direct a film about herself next.

Before she was a household name the 'Desperate Housewives' star worked at a Wendy's to pay for her own quinceañera. She then went on to earn a kinesiology degree while earning the title of Miss Corpus Christi USA.

Then when she moved to Hollywood and was auditioning for roles she worked as a headhunter for four years.

Look, she may be twenty years my senior, married, and WAY out of my league. But let's remember three things, age is just a number, divorce is a thing, and umm I'm Haven Medrano!
