Temple Wildcat Football is a Big Winner for Best of the Year

Congratulations, Temple! Your votes led to two Temple Wildcat games being declared "Best of the Year".

Temple's playoff game against Manvel and their State Championship appearance against Highland Park topped TexasHSFootball.com’s Best Of The Year list.

Lord knows that when Temple was slated to play Manvel in the playoffs, nobody outside of Temple had too much confidence in a Wildcat victory. It seems the only people that really believed that Temple had a chance were the players themselves. But win they did, leaving many Texans shocked.

That momentum of beating Manvel was enough to propel Temple to the State Championship, and in a defensive battle that made die-hard football fans proud, Temple gave the favored Highland Park a hard-fought game. Even though they ended up on the short end, they made us all proud and the experience will surely help them in the future.
