Target and CVS Will Work Together for COVID Vaccine
Texas is one of 17 states that will see Target and CVS working together to vaccinate people.
According to a report from FOX 44 News, the partnership was announced on Wednesday, March 10 and will allow CVS pharmacies located within Target stores to administer the COVID-19 vaccine for both Target and CVS customers and employees at more than 600 locations in 17 states.
Target and CVS already work together every year with vaccinations for flu, shingles and pneumonia.
Texas is one of 17 states chosen for the Target CVS partnership that also include Louisiana, Arizona, California, Hawaii and others. Target said in a press release, “We’ll continue to partner closely as they administer the vaccine while following state and federal guidelines. We’re also making fitting rooms available to CVS at select stores to host appointments.”
Temple, Killeen and Waco all have the Target/CVS locations, so if you want to get your vaccine done there, you'll need to go to CVS.com to check your eligibility.

For reference, Phase 1A: Front-line healthcare workers and residents at long-term care facilities. Phase 1B: People 65+ or people 16+ with a health condition that increases risk of severe COVID‑19 illness.
Phase 1C will be for persons age 50-64 and will begin Monday March 15.
It's been difficult for some seniors and other eligible people to get vaccine appointments, and there have been reports of so-called "line jumpers" taking appointment slots.
Please - if you're not in one of the vulnerable groups currently eligible, try to be considerate and think of at-risk people who need those appointments. We're all eager to get this pandemic behind us and get back to some sort of normal, and part of that is looking out for those most likely to be hospitalized or suffer severe symptoms of the virus.
