Six Flags to Re-Open with New Safety Guidelines

If you're ready for some summer fun, this could be good news. Six Flags is opening its first park after the recent pandemic of COVID-19.

According to a report from NPR, the Frontier City park in Oklahoma City will begin to re-open with new safety guidelines to help prevent the possible spread of the novel coronavirus. It will be the first Six Flags park to open after COVID-19 precautions prompted the closure of parks across the U.S.

If this opening goes well, it could mean more parks opening up soon, including here in Texas.

Our partners at News 10 report that the opening will come with some new health and safety procedures.

All guests over the age of 2 will be required to wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing standards. Employees will review cases and work to accommodate guests with special needs or health concerns.

Those who do not come with a mask will be able to purchase one at the front gate. Guests will also be asked if they are healthy and will be required to acknowledge the company's new health policies.

In addition, employees and guests will have their temperatures taken before they are allowed entry into the park. Temperatures will be screened using "contact-less" methods, and markers will be placed along walkways, ride lines, restrooms, and restaurants for social distancing.
