Popular Texas Swimming Hole Has New Rules
After being recognized for having one of the best waterfalls in Texas, Hamilton Pool is seeing some big changes for 2016.
The changes will be in the way of visitation. Hamilton Pool, about 30 miles west of Austin, normally has so many visitors that it exceeds the reserve’s capacity, which means long lines, heavy traffic, and no fun. So now there is a reservation required.
According to Austin news station KXAN Reservations can be made in two time slots…9am to 1pm, or 2pm to 6pm. The fees will be a $10 dollar reservation fee, a $15 dollar parking fee, and a $1 dollar fee if the reservation is made online. Oh, and bring cash, they don’t accept credit cards at this time.
