Phoney $50 Bills Showing up in Central Texas

Secret Service is seeing a increase in counterfeit $50 bills in circulation in Central Texas.

KWTX is reporting that the number of phoney $50's has tripled it's circulation numbers since September. And that's with some arrests being made.

The Secret Service advises residents and businesses to be cautious when dealing with $50's.

You thought having fake friends was a problem. That's nothing compared to having fake $50s in your wallet.
