One was an ordinary Frenchman. The other is a big headed crying baby. They both make predictions for the year 2018.

Readlly.com is reporting that Michel de Notre-Dame, otherwise known as Nostradamus, has made some predictions for this year.

"The world will know peace on Earth."

Just kidding. Nope 2018 is setting up to be a humdinger of hell.

Of course, Nostradamus wrote his predictions in 1555. And like the 50s of the previous century, they burned people for making crazy predictions. So, to stop ball hair from catching fire, he wrote in a four line structure known as quatrains, cleverly disguising his predictions as poems.

He's credited with predicting the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, the rise of Hitler, and the 9/11 attack. He predicted that by saying..."Earthshaking fire from the center of the Earth Will cause tremors around the New City. Two great rocks will war for a long time; Then Arethusa will redden a new river."

That's not much of a stretch is it, Armstrong?

This year, some people have interpreted his predictions to say that the dead will rise from their graves. I guess 'The Walking Dead' will be even bigger and popular than last year.

Also, the Earth will face changes between nations. Plus, the world will be caught up in several horrible natural disasters. We'll all be waiting in anticipation for this year's major hurricane season.

He also claimed that "the big war will start in France and all Europe will be attacked, it will be long and terrifying for everyone…and then finally there will be peace but only a few will enjoy it."

Of course those few will be Canada, America, and Mexico, and all other countries not in Europe. Remember, it was 1555. They only discover the "New World" a few years before.

He also added that "a war will start between the two great world powers and it will last for a period of 27 years. A moment of great violence will coincide with the appearance of a comet in the sky. A nuclear terrorism and natural catastrophes will destroy our planet until a giant planet shall approach the earth."

So, I guess Russia and China will have a few problems. Look forward to watching that from the comfort of America. Wait there's more.

He's predicting, according to "interpreters", that Mount Vesuvius will erupt. The earth will shake every five minutes and the natural disaster will kill up to 16,000 people. Again, in 1555, that's a lot of people. These days, it's a mediocre sporting event.

OK I'll give him this one. He just got the name wrong. Or, should I say, the translators got the name wrong.
