Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Baylor Football games this coming season will not allow fans to tailgate at Baylor McLane Stadium.

According to our partners at News 10, the university made the announcement on Tuesday.

To ensure the safety for the athletes, coaches, officials, staff, and fans there will be no organized tailgating allowed during the season.  However, RVs and boats will allowed to park and dock.

Baylor Athletic Director Mack Rhoades says,  "This was a difficult decision to make as we continue to keep the safety and health of the Baylor Family as our top priority."

With colleges across America having either cancelled their season all together or modified their upcoming season, Baylor has planned to allow for 25% capacity per game. (Side Note: Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says Gov. Greg Abbott has given the green light to have fans in the stands at Cowboys games too.)

The Baylor Bears open the season on Sept. 12 in Waco taking on Louisiana Tech.

That's right around the corner, and I'm glad football is about to crank back up.  There for a minute I wondered if there would be any games at all this year.  Sic 'em Bears, and stay safe.
