New Year’s Day Fire Put Out in Morgan’s Point
Firefighters in Morgan's Point spent New Year's Day preventing a home fire from spreading to other houses with a little help from the Temple and Moffat fire departments.
KWTX reports a call came in to the Morgan's Point fire department around 2 in the morning on Monday about a home on Whitetail road. A police officer arrived first and helped to clear the home and make sure everybody got out.
The firefighters arrived soon after and found that a separate garage structure had been engulfed in flames. Crews helped put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby homes. The call that alerted firefighters to the blaze came from the residents who lived next door to the home that had caught fire. The fire is now under investigation.
