Does that surprise you?

Well, it shouldn't. According to a study done by Porch.com, this area ranks fifth in mid-size metro cities with a population of people under 35 with over 54%!

Houston ranked #2, San Antonio ranked 4th, Dallas/ Fort-Worth/ Arlington ranked 5th, Austin- Round Rock- Georgetown ranked 6th, are all in the top 10 cities.

In all of these cities, the population of people 35 and under is almost half of the population.

For example, Houston has a population of over 7 million people, but there are over 3.5 million people living in the area, that are under the age of 35.

Closer to home, in the area of Austin, Round Rock, and Georgetown where there is a population of over 2.2 million, there are over 1.1 million people, 35 and under.

Rising home prices, resulting in lower homeownership within the demographic, and student loan debt were all factors that led to the numbers.

Salt Lake City, Utah, leads the pack as the youngest city in the United States.
