Meredith Dunbar Elementary School in Temple had Soft Lockdown

Temple Elementary school had a soft lockdown Wednesday afternoon.

KWTX is reporting that Meredith Dunbar Elementary School in Temple was placed on a soft lockdown as Temple police searched the area for two suspects in a shooting.

Temple police reported that no one was injured, but shots were fired on South Knob Street.

When a school is put in "soft" lockdown, it means no one is allowed in or out of the school, but activity inside the school continues as scheduled.

After what has happened the past two days in Texas and Kentucky, any lockdown is far from soft.
