McLane Children’s Hospital’s Free Easter Egg Hunt

McLane Children's Hospital in Temple made a lot of kids happy this weekend with a FREE Easter Egg Hunt. Julia was there for all the fun!

(I really should stop talking about myself in the third person).  But, yes the kids had a great time.  In addition to the egg hunt there were lots of other activities.  Special guest, Easter Bunny, took photos with  everybody, even the law!

Live chicks, and,ducks, and bunnies showed up for the petting session.

You can't leave one of these things without a tattoo!

Mom and Dad could get schooled on safety tips.

The Bouncy houses were a big hit too.

Kids could even spin the wheel for prizes

And check this out, over 2 thousand cookies kept the sugar high going.

Of course the main event was the egg hunt.  Kids were divided up into age groups so nobody would get run over.

McLane's volunteers laid out over 12 thousand eggs, most with candy and goodies inside, but some of those eggs contained golden tickets that were traded for these big Easter baskets

Hundreds of kids and their parents showed up for this years hunt.  It was all free.  If you missed it this year.  I feel sorry for you, but remember to show up next year. It's Free!
