Louis C.K.’s Voice Edited Out of Disney’s ‘Gravity Falls’
Sexual harassment revelations against Louis C.K. have naturally precluded any new projects, but Disney has taken matters one step further. Multiple episodes of the Disney Channel’s Gravity Falls have taken to overdubbing C.K.’s voice, so as to remove any association with the comedian.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that 2015 and 2016 episodes “Weirdmageddon: Part 1” and “Weirdmageddon: Part 3” will no longer feature Louis C.K. lending his voice to a character named – wait for it – “The Horrifying Sweaty One-Armed Monstrosity,” who was known for an insatiable desire to put people in his mouth. Series creator Alex Hirsch dubbed over character, as Disney now explains:
The role was rerecorded approximately one month ago and new versions of three episodes are now on the Disney XD schedule around the world. Series creator and executive producer Alex Hirsch is now credited as playing the character.

Gravity Falls is just one of many TV projects to dissociate with C.K., following HBO’s removal of the comedian’s standup specials, and FX dissolving his producer’s credits on Better Things, Baskets, One Mississippi and animated series The Cops. Like Gravity Falls, The Cops may move forward with a new voice actor replacing C.K.
In the meantime, stay tuned for further developments on any upcoming projects.
