I had a strange roommate a few years ago. This person liked to eat raw pasta from box dinners and cram the boxes under their bed. They were also hiding heroin in their room, so there may have been a correlation.

What I'm getting at is that I've dealt with a less-than-fun living situation before, but this story out of Killeen is something else.

Christopher Shadrock with our news partner, KWTX, reports that a 19-year-old man called 911 early Tuesday morning to report that he'd been shot. Turns out that wasn't the case.

He'd been stabbed.

By himself.

Kylor Ryan Kirk reportedly threatened to shoot himself if his female roommate left. She was in the process of packing her things when he reportedly made the threat, and as she tried to leave he blocked the door of her room. That's when the woman says Kirk stabbed himself in the leg and fell to the floor.

When she tried to leave, Kirk allegedly grabbed her and brandished a gun, threatening to kill them both.

At this point, another roommate was able to distract Kirk, allowing the woman to leave. Kirk reportedly followed her outside though, and was later found hiding behind an air conditioning unit.

Kirk refused to be taken to a hospital, but did receive treatment for his stab wound. Officers found a Daisy Powerline air gun, which Kirk admitted to owning. However, he said he was too intoxicated to remember if he'd pointed it anyone.

Kirk remained in the Bell County Jail Saturday afternoon in lieu of $200,000. He's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and records indicate he there's been a motion to revoke his probation.
