Two suspects were behind bars Wednesday almost two months after police believe they assaulted and robbed an elderly man in a Killeen convenience store parking lot.

Killeen police say a Crime Stoppers tip led to the identification and arrest of 30 year-old Devyone Montrell Green of Killeen and 45 year-old Indrel Shawnea Green of Belton.

Bell County Jail records indicate that both suspects were booked on Sunday, May 26 and charged with second degree felony robbery. Both remained in the Bell County Jail Wednesday, May 29 in lieu of $200,000 bond.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the CEFCO store at 4011 East Stan Schlueter Loop at 7:23 PM Thursday, April 18 in response to an assault report.

Witnesses said a man and woman caused a disturbance in the store, then followed an elderly man outside as he left to call 9-1-1.

The man (now believed to have been Devyone Green) reportedly assaulted the victim, then robbed him with the assistance of Indrel Green.

Detectives later asked for the public's help identifying the suspects, who were seen in surveillance footage. A tip from Crime Stoppers led investigators to the Greens, and the Bell County District Attorney's Office returned robbery complaints against them on Friday, May 24. They were arrested that day around 4 PM and booked into the Killeen City Jail.

Police say the two were previously charged with interference with an emergency call in connection to the case.
