Killeen ISD Will Begin School Year August 17th Online
The Killeen Independent School District announced Tuesday that the upcoming school year will begin August 17th, virtually.
All students and parents in the community were assured that the district will "continue to follow state mandates and remain committed to the safety of all students and staff."
Beginning September 8th, parents who elect for their children to attend classes in person will have that option as well.
In the post, the district stated the ability to expand virtual platforms to all of its students after moving all classes online back in March.
Virtual learners will engage in live and recorded lessons from their teachers, assignments will be given, and grades will be required
There will also be a technology hotline for students and parents and a series of round table discussions.
Parents can register in person at each campus today and tomorrow between 9a-6pm.
