Kate Gosselin’s 13 Year Old Twins Refuse to Talk During a Today Show Interview

It  happens to every parent, at some point your kids embarrass you in public, but for us normal people it usually doesn’t happen on National TV.

But we are not  Kate Gosselin, and we have not been telling the world that being on TV for a good portion of their lives did not damage the Sextuplets or the Twins.

Kate and  her 13-year-old twin daughters Cara and Mady have already done a People Magazine spread to prove “Jon and Kate Plus Eight”,  did not do them harm.

They tried to do the same thing on the Today Show.  It did not work, the girls REFUSED TO TALK.  Even when asked direct questions. Simple questions like "How are you"

Kate seemed pretty humiliated.  At one point she even told her daughter, quote, "Mady, your words.  It's your chance . . . spit it out."

When Mady did finally talk, she cleared things up a little.  The girls were asked if people have the wrong impression of their family, and she said, quote, "I wouldn't say 'wrong', I would just say not, like, the full story."  She added, quote, "A lot of people think that filming our show has damaged us, but it’s only really helped."  And both girls said they'd like to do another TV show.

Cara and Mady Gosselin are the eldest in the former “Jon and Kate Plus 8” family. Their sextuplet siblings are now 9 years old.

Later, Kate tweeted, "Thanks to @TODAYshow for having Cara, Mady and me on the show today! 1st live interview can render even the gabbiest girls speechless :)"
