Texas Bands Celebrating Huge Album Anniversaries in 2025
Many bands from Texas are getting ready to celebrate some of their biggest & most iconic records in 2025. Some albums are turning 10 years, while others are turning much older than that.
Pantera is celebrating major 2 album anniversaries in 2025
The album that helped Pantera become a staple in the metal scene, Cowboys From Hell, is turning 35 years this year as it was released on July 24, 1990.
Their final record, Reinventing the Steel, will be celebrating its 25th birthday on March 21, 2000.
Two El Paso bands will also celebrate 2 album anniversaries in 2025
At the Drive-In's biggest album, Relationship of Command, turns 25 years this year on September 12, 2000.
The Mars Volta's Frances the Mute album will celebrate its 20th birthday on February 11.
One ZZ Top record is turning 50 years old in 2025
ZZ Top's studio/live album, Fandango!, was released on April 18, 1975. That album will forever hold a special place in El Paso's heart thanks to the classic, "Heard It on the X". Their Afterburner record will also be celebrated in 2025; that record turns 40 years old on October 28. Recycler will turn 25 years old on October 16.

- Sons of Texas' debut album, Baptized in the Rio Grande, turns 15 years old on March 3,
- Upon a Burning Body released their debut album, The World Is Ours, on April 6,
- Drowning Pool's self-titled turns 15 years old on April 27,
- Spoon's Gimme Fiction turns 20 years old on May 10 while Transference turns 15 years old on January 15,
- Hellyeah's Stampede turns 15 years old on July 13,
- The Union Underground's only album, "...An Education In Rebellion" turns 25 years old on July 18.
- The Sword's Warp Riders, turns 15 years old on August 19. High Country turns 10 years on August 21,
- Pissing Razors' Fields of Disbelief turns 25 years old on August 22,
- Stevie Ray Vaughan's Soul to Soul turns 40 years old on September 30,
- Flyleaf's debut album turns 20 years on October 5,
- King's X (who's become a huge staple in Houston's scene) released Faith Hope Love on October 23,
- and The Reverend Horton Heat's "Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em" turns 35 years old on November 1.
