Texas Or Arizona Will Reign Supreme at Super Bowl LVIII
Thanks to the Chiefs & 49ers advancing to Super Bowl LVII, both the states of Texas & Arizona have a chance to win this year's Super Bowl. We actually saw something similar last year with the Chiefs taking on the Eagles. Each team has a quarterback born in each state as they will lead their teams to victory in Las Vegas. So let's get to meet each quarterback, starting with the one we know very well first...
Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)
There's no denying: Patrick Mahomes is a good football player; his multiple Super Bowl rings prove it. The former Texas Tech player from Tyler, Texas has already led the Chiefs to 3 Super Bowls in the past & has won two of them (LIV, LVII). Patrick is also the latest in a long line of Texas players to win a Super Bowl.
This will be their 4th Super Bowl appearance for the Chiefs with Patrick as their starting quarterback.
Now that we've met the reigning champion, let's introduce the challenger...
Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers)
Yes "Mr. Irrelevant" himself. After being defeated in the NFC Championship game last year, Brock Purdy has finally led the 49ers back to the Super Bowl. Brock was born in Queen Creek, Arizona; he went to Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona, and graduated in 2018. He would play for Iowa State University from 2018-2021 before becoming part of the 2022 NFL Draft, and the rest...well you know.
So the stage is set but the question is; will the Kansas City Chiefs win for Texas or the San Francisco 49ers win for Arizona? We will find out when both teams meet up in Las Vegas this year in a rematch of Super Bowl LIV.
The countdown has begun...
