Do you remember Bennigan's? To some, the name doesn't even register- and to some, the Irish pub-themed restaurant was a favorite and fun place to go to! Now, only a few remain in the country and Texas is home to two of the remaining Bennigan's!

What Happened to Bennigan's?

Here in my hometown of El Paso, Texas, we actually had a Bennigan's! I can still remember that is where I had my first Monte Cristo- and I've been searching for a place that makes them like Bennigan's did since then!

But it feels like from one day to the next, it was shut down! According to the Daily Meal, the restaurant's parent company filed for bankruptcy after other chain restaurants like Applebee's and Chili's kind of took over. Sadly, many of the Bennigan's across the country shut down, including the one here in El Paso- however, I recently found out that Texas is home to two of the final Bennigan's in the country!

Where Is there a Bennigan's in Texas?

One is located in Borger, Texas (as a point of reference, the closest big city is Amarillo). The other is located in Monahans, Texas - which is South West of Odessa.
