Recently, an eatery in the state of Texas faced investigation from the U.S. Department of Labor. Valentina's Tex-Mex BBQ, located in Buda, Texas faced criticism for multiple issues. But now, it appears the eatery will be no more, due to a new discovery at the location of the restaurant.

Beginnings Of The Issues For Valentina's Tex-Mex BBQ

As reported by Chron, the restaurant originally closed in April of 2024. The owners of the eatery posted to social media in regards to the shut down, saying that it wouldn't be long:

But while business wasn't selling their food, problems arose in regards to how they paid their employees. KXAN reported that the tip policy for the restaurant had certain parts in it which would result in a worker losing their tips.

In addition, the Austin Business-Journal revealed that establishment was $2.3 million in debt, and also an inquiry had began by the U.S. Department Of Labor. While this close down was only supposed to be until May 8th, it seems the eatery is facing more issues than expected.

Valentina's BBQ May Be Closed For Good

As per the Austin Business-Journal, it was discovered that outside where the eatery is located, a for lease sign has been put out. It is unknown at the time of writing if there are any buyers.
