What Really Makes You a Texan?

Being a Texan isn't just about where you were born. It's a way of life. It's culture, and attitude. It's an ideology, and most importantly, it's being able to pronounce the names of towns and cities the way the locals do!

How Far Away is That Place?

Texas is big. How big is it? Well, it takes about 12 hours to drive from one side to the other. Now, if you weren't a Texan then you might have said it's about 800 miles across, but nobody knows how big that is. Twelve hours though? That's about how long it takes for a man to put in an honest day's work.

You Know Which Whataburger is Your Favorite!

Being able to tell someone which Whataburger is your favorite is an easy task for any real Texan. The answer is simply whichever Whataburger is nearest to you. Of course, being a real Texan, you will most certainly always know where the nearest Whataburger is.

Where Did You Say You Were From?

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. There isn't a single Texas county or city that is pronounced the way it is spelled. Do you think you know how to pronounce "Bexar" correctly? You don't. That "x" has no business being anywhere in that word. Can you pronounce "Mexia"? No, of course you can't. Not unless you are a real Texan!

You'll Know When You're a Real Texan

These are some pretty simple guidelines, but there's really only one requirement to being a true Texan. A real Texan is proud to be a Texan!
